NRIG 2026 Scholarships & Grants Program

Applications for the 2026 Scholarship & Grants Program are now open!!

Conference Grant

1 x $500

Application Deadline: April 30, 2026

The NRIG Conference Grant will be awarded to a NRIG member who is attending or presenting at a conference. Applicants must be members of NRIG.

Note: Preference will be given to applicants who have been members of NRIG for 2 or more years and members presenting at a conference and those who have no alternative conference funding. 

Undergraduate Award

1 x $750

Application Deadline: April 30, 2026

The NRIG Undergraduate Award will be awarded to an NRIG member who is currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Nursing program. Applicants must be a member of NRIG.

Graduate Scholarship

2 x $1,500

Application Deadline: April 30, 2026

The NRIG Graduate Scholarship will be awarded to an NRIG member currently enrolled in a nursing masters, PhD, or DN program. Applicants must be members of NRIG.

Note: Preference will be given to NRIG members who have not received a previous scholarship or grant and/or those who have been an NRIG member for a minimum of 2 years.

PhD Student Research Grant

1 x $2,500

Application Deadline: April 30, 2026

The NRIG Research Grant will be awarded to an NRIG member currently enrolled in a nursing PhD program. Applicants must be members of NRIG.

Note: Preference will be given to NRIG members who have not received a previous scholarship or grant and/or those who have been an NRIG member for a minimum of 2 years.

Internationally Educated Nurses are welcome to apply for all scholarships and grants provided they meet the above criteria. For more information on NRIG 2026 Awards and Scholarships, please contact Jaewon Jeong at NRIG.awards@gmail.com.

Disclaimer: Scholarship and Research Grant recipients will be required to submit a brief biography, headshot, and description of their research project (approx. 100 words) for use in the NRIG newsletter and website. Further, by accepting the awarded scholarship and/or grant, winners must agree to submit an update on their research progress (approx. 250 words) within one year of winning their award for submission to an NRIG newsletter.
