Conference Grant

The NRIG Conference Grant will be awarded to a NRIG member who is attending or presenting at a conference. Applicants must be a member of NRIG for a minimum of 2 years.
Note: Preference will be given to NRIG members presenting at a conference and those who have no alternative conference funding.
Undergraduate Award
2 x $500
Application Deadline: April 21, 2024
The NRIG Undergraduate Award will be awarded to an NRIG member who is currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Nursing program. Applicants must be a member of NRIG.
Note: Preference will be given to a student identifying a BIPOC for one of these awards.
New Member Award
2 x $500
Application Deadline: April 21, 2024
The New NRIG Member Award will be awarded to a new NRIG member who is currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program (preferably in nursing) or who is a novice nurse researcher. Applicants must be members of NRIG for less than 2 years and must agree to maintain NRIG membership for a minimum of one year.
Note: A "Novice Nurse Researcher" is defined as a nurse who has completed their Master's or PhD degree within the past 5 years
Graduate Scholarship

Application Deadline: April 21, 2024
The NRIG Graduate Scholarship will be awarded to an NRIG member currently enrolled in a nursing masters or PhD program. Preference will be given to NRIG members who have not received a previous scholarship or grant. Applicants must be members of NRIG for a minimum of 2 years.
Note: Preference will be given to a student identifying as BIPOC for one of these awards.
Innovation and Dissemination Research Grant
2 x $1,000
Application Deadline: April 21, 2024
The NRIG Innovation and Dissemination Research Grant will be awarded to support nurses engaged in evidence-based quality improvement and/or knowledge translation research projects. Applicants must be a current member of NRIG.
PhD Student Research Grant
1 x $3,000
Application Deadline: April 21, 2024
The NRIG Research Grant will be awarded to an NRIG member currently enrolled in a nursing PhD program. Preference will be given to NRIG members who have not received a previous scholarship or grant. Applicants must be members of NRIG for a minimum of 2 years.
New Investigator Research Grant
1 x $3,000
Application Deadline: April 21, 2024
The NRIG Research Grant will be awarded to a NRIG member who is currently a New Investigator. Applicants must be members of NRIG for a minimum of 2 years.
Note: Preference will be given to NRIG members who have not received a previous scholarship or grant.
A "New Investigator" is defined as a postdoctoral fellow or a researcher who has obtained their MN or PhD within the last 5 years)

Disclaimer: Scholarship and Research Grant Winners will be required to submit a brief biography, headshot, and description of their research project (approx. 100 words) for use in the NRIG newsletter and website. Further, by accepting the awarded scholarship and/or grant, winners must agree to submit an update on their research progress (approx. 250 words) within one year of winning their award for submission to an NRIG newsletter.
